We know space on your playlist is tight, so we give you a chance to condense it all into a 2 hour window.CFR is hosted by two radio veterans, Murphdawg and Phathead, with a combined 60 years of radio programming, marketing, on air, and promotion experience. With a current total exposure to an audience of over 2 million listeners in 6 markets, and expanding, Country Fresh Radio is poised to be a powerhouse that will add fresh new music to your playlist.



Phathead has been in radio since 1995. He started at WRHU/Hofstra University and hasn't looked back since. His first professional experience was interning for The Howard Stern Show in 1997.Since then, over the past 30 plus years, Phathead has been involved with dance music, Top 40, adult contemporary, and found his forever home with country music in 2011.He currently runs WJVC on Long Island and has also hosted the morning show since the station sign on back in January of 2011. Phathead also co-produces and co-hosts a syndicated new music show called "Country Fresh Radio".


Murph is a true radio professional having been in the business for over 25 years. Of those 25 years, 9 have been in the Country format. Murph’s career includes stops in Orlando Florida, Atlanta, Georgia - Greenville, SC and he has lived in New York for over 25 years.Originally from Queens, NY Murph majored in Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology until an internship at a local radio station changed his path. Murph’s passion for music and his love for connecting with people changed his major and propelled him into an unintended career. Murph has supported many organizations throughout his career, but his focus lies with St. Jude, the USA Hockey Foundation and locally with Long Island Cares. Murph has also been trusted to represent many companies over the years including (nationally) AT&T, RaceTrac, Ideal Image and Kit Kat.When Murph isn’t on the radio weekdays from Noon to 3pm on My Country 96.1, you can find him doing home improvement projects, and teaching his youngest child how to play Ice Hockey, and his oldest daughter how to drive. Murph lives with his wife Melissa (who is a Nurse Manager in the Childrens PACU), and two kids Riley and Camden.
